My involvement with music began at age six with classical piano training. By age 14 I discovered boogie-woogie and blues and playing by ear, improvising and playing in a college band. While studying physiotherapy in London, England, I took up tenor sax, broadening my musical horizons to include modern jazz, playing in a jazz ensemble with engagements around London, and also playing pub piano.
I emigrated to Manitoba, Canada, and formed a quartet performing everything from polkas to jazz, country to swing and rock 'n roll, for dances, lounge work and weddings, including armed forces clubs in western Manitoba and into Saskatchewan. Following several busy years the group split up, with two of us concentrating on songwriting. The group was re-united for awhile and expanded to six to produce a CD of original songs.
My work as a physiotherapist took me to my current residence in Victoria, British Columbia. Joining the Vineyard Church, I was introduced to melodic praise and worship music, which inspired me to compose ballad-syle Christian music, included in the sheet music available through this site.
